Anyone heard about Pradal Serey?
I know, Pradal Serey means free fighting.
Pradal Serey was consists of four techniques, which are blows of the fist, kicks, blows of the elbow, and blows of the knee.
It is one of the national sports of Cambodia. The opponent is wearing clinch to fight.

This form of Martial Arts is mainly practiced in mainly South Eastern countries like Thailand, Malaysia, etc. It is an Indochinese martial art form. As the name suggests, yes it is free fighting...
Thanks for your info

I guess it must look like kickboxing since it allows the same ways of kicking. Also, they have similar origins.
Just like all chinese martial arts or japanese resemble a bit, the martial arts from that area also resemble.
Anyway, what's the difference between this Pradal Serey and kickboxing?

So far it seems the only difference it's the name. The fighting techniques seem to be the same.
I think it's just another kickboxing branch.

I just search informations about it on wikipedia and look what it says there:
"Pradal Serey is the Khmer name for a system of Indochinese martial arts practiced in several Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand (where it is called Muay Thai), Malaysia (where it is called Tomoi), Laos (where it is called Muay Lao) and as a similar style in Myanmar (called Lethwei). Pradal means fight and serey means free"
So it is one and the same thing.
At least, about Muay Thai and Tomoi I know for sure, because I red about them right here, on this forum ^^
